Abe was almost as upset as Ty was about the drug-hunting episode. He talked Ty into promising to always call him before he headed home from work so that he could gauge his mood and help him forestall any further attempts to find drugs.

Things settled down again. The next day Ty and his boss soon figured out that the problem with the installation had been that the client had lied about the level of privileges he had granted Ty. Jeremy assured him that no one else could have done any better with that particular client.

Work was going well, and Ty would have been happy if it hadn’t been for his insane infatuation with Abe. Sexual tension escalated between them to the point where, when Ty was with him, he felt as if he were burning up with fever. Just a hint of Abe’s musky scent would send waves of desire coursing through him, taking his breath away. His hands would shake, his voice would crack, and his cock would swell to embarrassing proportions.

He was having so much trouble holding it together, he was sure Abe would notice something was wrong with him, but the big man never mentioned it. He would simply smile at him, and Ty would melt into a pool of molten lust. When he wasn’t with Abe, he thought about him constantly. He was hornier than he’d ever been, and jacking off didn’t provide any relief.

Eventually he brought up the situation to Stephanie. He trusted her and valued her opinion and advice. He confessed that he wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to live with Abe—he was drowning in desire for the man.

“Does he feel the same way about you?” she asked.

“I ... I don’t know. I think ... I’m pretty sure he’s attracted to me.”

Who wouldn’t be? Stephanie thought. “Why don’t you do something about it then?”

“Like what?”

“Like talk to him about your feelings.”

“Oh my God, I couldn’t possibly!”

Stephanie smiled. “Well, if it’s driving you this crazy, you need to find out if he wants the same thing you do. If you can’t talk to him, why don’t you take the initiative physically? That would be one way to bring things to a head.”

Ty was shocked. “You mean like kiss him?”

“Or try holding his hand—something along those lines.”

“I can’t do that!”

“Are you afraid he’ll reject you?”

“I ... I don’t know. I’m pretty sure he likes me, but why hasn’t he done anything about it? He’s way more experienced than I am. He should make the first move.”

“Ty, you told me Abe did kiss you once; that’s why you left him.” She stared at him intently. “I don’t think he’ll try again. If you want something with him, you will need to start it.”

Ty looked at her aghast even as he realized the truth of her words. Abe would not touch him in that way, would not even bring it up in conversation. He had seen the lust in Abe’s eyes, but there was something else there too—fear perhaps.
